New Delhi, 29 January (Gaurav Lalit/Pratyush Ranjan, PTI Fact Check): An alleged picture of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav is being shared on social media. In the picture, CM Yogi is seen taking a selfie with SP leader Akhilesh Yadav. By sharing the picture, users are claiming that in Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025, CM Yogi took a selfie with Akhilesh Yadav.
The viral claim in the investigation of PTI fact check proved to be fake. Our investigation revealed that the viral picture is AI generated, which the users are sharing with the wrong claim.
Claim:
On social media platform Facebook, user Tinku Yadav shared the viral picture on 26-1-2025 and wrote, “Yogi ji took a selfie comment with Akhilesh Bhaiya in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, telling a selfie comment. See the link of the post, Archive link and screenshot here.
At the same time, another user socialist, a thinking, shared the viral picture on 17-1-2025 and wrote, “What will you say on this picture?” See the link link, archive link and screenshot here.
Investigation:
PTI Fact Czech Desk searched the concerned Kervard to know the truth of the viral picture, but we did not get a single news that confirms the viral claim. On looking at the picture carefully, we found AI of viral picture to be produced.
Increasing the investigation, we scanned with the help of AI Detector Tool Sightengine. Investigation revealed that this picture has been prepared through AI tools. According to the results on Sighteengine, the viral picture is 78 percent AI. See the screenshot of the result here.
At the same time, to know the truth of the viral picture, we enlisted the help of another AI detector tool ‘Wasitai’, according to “Wasit”, this picture is probably made AI. See the screenshot of the result here.
