The revolver of the world-renowned Weebley Scott Company was launched in the city on Friday. People from all over the state including Kanpur took information about it and booked it. 500 revolvers were booked on the first day itself. It is claimed that this revolver with 670 grams is the lightest revolver ever. Women can also operate it easily.

Syal Manufacturers had tied up with Weebley Scott to manufacture the revolver. Under Make in India, a manufacturing plant of revolvers has been set up at Sandila, Hardoi.
The Indian version of Britain’s world famous revolver has been brought to the market by the company in a short span of time. Arms entrepreneur and promoter Rikki Syal said that this has been possible only because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This is the first product of Make in India and Self-reliant campaign.

New variants will also come soon. Calls have been received from as far as Mizoram for the booking of revolvers. Delivery will be given 45 to 60 days after booking. Preference will be given to women. Only 2400 revolvers will be made in a year. Pistol and airgun will also be made in the coming time.

The Weebley Scott revolver will take on the recently launched Small Arms Factory (SAF) Prahar of this category and the Nishank of the earlier field guns. The booking of Prahar is also good. More than 500 revolvers have been booked. The price of Prahar is 78 thousand. 28% GST separately. Similarly, Nishank is also the country’s first revolver to shoot up to 50 meters.
