The oil business started by MH Premji had gained more value in the market, due to which he was counted among the famous businessmen of the country. MH Premji’s business was progressing, at the same time in the year 1947, along with the independence of India, the country was also partitioned, due to which Mohammad Ali Jinnah proposed to MH Premji to go to Pakistan.
When MH Premji refused to go to Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah offered him the position of finance minister in the new country. But MH Premji also rejected Jinnah’s offer, after which MH Premji continued his business in India again.

MH Premji’s business was booming in India, so he sent his son Azim Premji to Stanford University for higher education. Azim Premji was studying engineering abroad, but he had to leave his final year studies and return to India.
But when Azim Premji was 21 years old, his father MH Premji passed away. In such a situation, Azim Premji’s mother Gulbanu called him and informed about this, after which Azim Premji left his final year in the middle and returned to India in the year 1961.

When Azim Premji took over his father’s company, his earnings were around Rs 1.30 crore at that time. But after 53 years, this company is at the height of success, while Azim Premji is considered to be the 36th richest person in the world.

At present, Azim Premji’s net worth is around $25.6 billion, while he has donated shares worth Rs 52,750 crore. Azim Premji also runs an organization, which is known as Premji Foundation and so far he has donated Rs 1.45 crore to this organization.
Azim Premji held the post of Chairman of Wipro Company till the year 2005, after which he resigned from this post.
