Airport News: Not only the pants and shirt of the passenger coming from abroad, even the underwear was searched. But, according to the information received from intelligence input, nothing was found with this passenger. At last, when the airport officials were defeated in every way, they started searching the bag of this passenger. Nothing was found inside this bag also.

Accused passenger detained from Terminal 2
Actually, this matter is of Indira Gandhi International Airport of Delhi. Customs’ Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) had received secret intel that a 26-year-old passenger going from Terminal 2 to Hyderabad was carrying foreign currency worth crores of rupees illegally. As soon as the intel was received, the AIU team laid its trap at Terminal 2.
The AIU team took this passenger into custody as soon as he entered the airport terminal. During the search, everything was opened, but nothing was found. But as soon as the secret layer of the suitcase was revealed, a huge cache of foreign cash came to light. Foreign currency worth about Rs 1.35 crore was recovered from this secret luggage by the passenger.

Additional Commissioner of Customs Mayusha Goyal said that 20 thousand US dollars, 5,25,500 Saudi Riyal and 1000 Qatari Riyal were recovered from inside the secret layer of the suitcase. He told that the accused is originally from Uttar Pradesh. He had come to Terminal 2 of IGI Airport to go to Hyderabad by Indigo flight 6E-2768.
From Hyderabad, he was about to leave for Ras Al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates) on Indigo flight 6E-1495. During interrogation, the accused passenger has confessed to smuggling of foreign cash. Based on the confession and recovery of the accused passenger, Customs AIU has arrested him and seized the foreign cash.
