A business idea came to Sambhavi’s mind

When Sambhavi arrived in India in 2013 after graduating in mathematics and commerce from the University of Virginia, she realized that thousands of questions pop up in Indians’ minds when buying any electronic or expensive item, such as “Which store is this? Expensive, isn’t it? It’s better to order online, shopping online doesn’t mean you get what you got, etc. Keeping these questions in mind, a business idea came to Sambhavi’s mind.
This is probably one of the factors why they are performing so poorly – a platform that allows for online booking and bargaining, but customers can shop at any nearby store of their choice. Although her new ideas were completely different from traditional online shopping, She fell within the realm of online shopping.
Established a company named Shopmate in 2015

To make her vision a reality, she did marketing research for the first few months to understand the business and in June 2015 founded a company named Shopmate. One of the biggest challenges for the company since the inception of Shopmate has been garnering a large network of buyers. She wanted to tell that in this era of online shopping, overcrowding has reduced, which is affecting her income.
In such a situation, the shopkeeper will help them by taking an online order and then sending it to the customer in the shop. And in return they will take commission on the same sale which will be 2 to 3 percent. She and her team did a great job and within a short span of time 700 shopkeepers from Delhi and NCR joined her company.
The business of the company started with Rs 1 crore

This model of efficiency not only benefited the shopkeepers, but also removed the fear of cheating among the consumers. Perhaps never giving up, the company’s business started with an initial capital of Rs 1 crore and grew to Rs 20 crore in a year. Today they deal in all types of electronics, bikes, scooters, mobiles, tablets, laptops and desktop computers.
